Day 4 Fes - Ifrane - Midlet - Marzouga

After breakfast, you will depart Fes for Merzouga, passing through Midelt and the Ziz Valley. Today, you will travel through the town of Ifrane, a beautiful mountain village nicknamed the Switzerland of Morocco. You will also stop in the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas Mountains.

During this journey, you will get a glimpse of the Middle Atlas and High Atlas Mountains and will stop in Azrou, a Berber village nestled in the heart of the famous cedar forest—the largest in Morocco—where you will have the opportunity to observe Barbary macaques. Your journey then continues to Midelt, along the stunning hills and mountains of the Atlas Mountains.

After optional lunch in Midelt, you will cross the breathtaking Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the spectacular Ziz Gorges, admiring views of the High Atlas plateau and witnessing the changing landscape as you approach the southeastern province of Errachidia. You will then travel along the stunning Ziz Valley, stopping to admire panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani.

Arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon, you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Afterwards, you will enjoy a camel ride through the dunes of the Merzouga Sahara Desert to reach the camp where you will spend the night.

Day 5 Merzouga - Dades Gorges

Your camel guide will wake you early in the morning to witness what might be the most beautiful sunrise of your life. You'll then return leisurely by camel to the village of Merzouga. Along the way, you'll be captivated by the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which change with the light throughout the day.

After breakfast and a hot shower at the riad, you'll depart for the Rissani, Tinghir, and Todgha Gorges—the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco.

After optional lunch in the heart of the gorges, you'll travel through the Dadès Valley, where you'll see the majestic sand castles and the astonishing rock formations known as "monkey fingers."

You'll spend the night in a luxury guesthouse overlooking the Dadès Valley, with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 6 Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will begin your journey through the Dadès Valley towards Ouarzazate, and then on to Marrakech. The road through the Dadès Valley is known as the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs – offering numerous opportunities to take some of your best photos of the trip.

You will stop in Kalaat M'Gouna – the heart of the Valley of Roses – where you will have the opportunity to visit a rose cooperative and purchase rosewater, which will leave your laundry smelling wonderful long after your trip is over.

Continue towards Marrakech, passing by the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Built by El Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs in the 19th century, the Kasbah is now home to many members of the Glaoui family.

Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 m) across the High Atlas Mountains, where you will have the opportunity to explore the production process of argan oil - which exists only in Morocco - by Berber women in their cooperative, before arriving at your accommodation for the night in Marrakech.

Day 7 Marrakech

Full day city tour of Marrakech

Your tour usually starts at the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque. This mosque's beautiful minaret dominates the skyline of Marrakech and can be seen from almost every approach to the city thanks to a long-standing planning ordinance that forbids any other building in the old city to rise above the height of a palm tree.

You will also visit the El-Bahia Palace.  This 19th century palace is elaborate in its decoration and was built over a period of seven years for Ba Ahmed, the son of the Grand Vizier Si Moussa.

There are row after row of apartments—that once housed Ahmed's harem—a trapezoidal garden, a huge tiled courtyard, and many hidden treasures, both in the form of antique objects d'art and the palace's convergence of Andalusian and Moorish architecture. One of most visited sites in Morocco is the Saadian Tombs, which were only accessible via the mosque next door. However, in 1917 they were opened to the public and can now be accessed via a narrow passage that leads to an enclosed garden watched over by two mausoleums that include more than one hundred mosaic-decorated tombs. The Koranic School Medersa Ben Youssef is a Theological college founded by the Merenid Sultan Abu Hassan in the 14th century.  It was restored in 1564 by the Saadians who made it the largest theological college in the Maghreb and a rival to the important Medersa Bou Inania in Fés.
