As eternal as the snows on the highest peaks, as impressive as the Atlas Mountains, as steeped in history as the palm trees are rooted in the Earth, Marrakech stands as the finishing touch to a picture of timeless beauty. With rose-coloured ramparts and the old palm grove, Marrakech casts a magic spell.
Sumptuous and exuberant, it radiates splendour and mysticism; at the dye merchants, in the explosion of multicoloured wools; at Festival time, in the rhythm of the music, in the emotion of the dancers; in the idle talk of the merchants and in the skill of the jugglers. You feel enchantment in the shade of the blue gardens and in the overwhelming perfection of the Koutoubia.
Marrakech, the imperial city which, at the dawn of its history, gave Morocco its name. The Berbers and the Arabs come together here, to mingle with the nomads and the mountain people.

The intellectual capital, the craft work capital, the most imperial of all cities in Morocco and pearl of the Arab World, Fes is where the senses are given truly royal treatment. The Holy City of Fez is a jewel of Spanish-Arabic civilisation. Fez does not reveal its secrets easily. Secretive, shadowy, they need to be discovered little by little, with reverence. Once known as “the well-guarded,” Fez sits in the lap of two bare, low hills and spills beyond its ramparts onto the wide and fertile plain that stretches south to the mountains of the Middle Atlas. Bustling with artisans and merchants, its captivating sounds, fragrances and colours mesmerise the visitor with a constant swirl of activity.
The city of Moulay Idriss 1st , sanctuary of human and moral sciences. The great Karaouiyne University has for eleven centuries been a religions and intellectual centre whose influence base spread far beyond the Kingdom’s boundaries.
Our visit today will include the tanners, Foundouk des tisserants, Medersa El Attarine, La Qaraouiyne, The Nejjarine Fountain, the souks (market) and a carpet co-operative. Stop at the Gate of Bab Boujloud, the ancient ramparts and the front entrance to the Royal Palace.

Marrakech is one of Morocco’s most important cultural centres. It was founded in 1062 AD by a Almoravide sultan. The city would remain the capital empire until its collapse in 1269. For the following 300 years the focus of Moroccan brilliance passed to Fez, but the Saadiens made Marrakech the capital again in the 16th Century.

Visit the beautiful Menara Gardens, the Old Medina, and a close view of the famous Koutoubia Minaret. Between Casablanca and Rabat runs a long ribbon of white, soft sand. There are a number of affluent seaside resorts en route. Imagine a white city rising up majestically at the estuary of a river, a city whose history goes back to Antiquity, whose beauties have been enhanced over the centuries, a city chosen to be the capital of the Almohad Empire in the 12th Century.

Then of present-day Morocco; that city is Rabat, the Royal City. Rabat is the setting for the Royal Palace of his Majesty Mohamed VI. It is the seat of the government, and of the ministries. Rabat boasts the biggest university in the country and the city abounds in shops, bookstores, cinemas and theatres. Rabat is endowed with long beaches of golden sand, the noble Mamora cork oak forest and the Royal Golf Dar-Es-Salam, one of the most beautiful courses in the world.

We will see the Hassan Tower, the Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Casbah of Oudayas.

Casablanca is propelling Morocco towards the future with energy, determination and an infectious optimism. Architects began designing this model city in 1912, bringing a visionary charm to this modern metropolis and organising its phenomenal development, so that today it is the largest major city in Northern Africa and stunning for its architectural beauty. It is therefore not surprising that Casablanca was chosen to be the site of the monument designed to mark the end of the century and an entire nation’s dream — the Hassan II Mosque.

This is where the international business dealing takes place, where luxury goods and services flourish, high-tech industries are concentrated, and top quality hotels host world-class conventions and congress, all making Casablanca the shining light of modern Morocco. Since Casablanca has no natural harbour, the fantastic 3180 metre long Moulay Youssef Jetty was constructed to create Morocco’s premier port and the fourth in Africa.

Our half day sightseeing tour of Casablanca will include the Habous Quarters, the Royal Palace Gate, the United Nations Square, the Corniche and Hassan II Mosque.
