Day 01 Rabat Arrival

As you step off the plane and into the vibrant atmosphere of Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport, you will be warmly welcomed with VIP airport services. An attentive staff member will greet you upon your arrival, guiding you swiftly through passport control without the usual hassles. Afterward, you’ll be escorted to meet your friendly guide and driver, who will be waiting for you outside the baggage and take you to your hotel in the capital city of Rabat. You can relax and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure with your guide and driver at disposal.

Day 02 Rabat - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will take you on a half-day tour of Rabat. The tour will include a visit to the Jewish Mellah, a historic neighbourhood that was home to a significant Jewish population in the 19th century. Although it is now mostly inhabited by Muslims, the Mellah is located next to the Great Mosque and near the eastern section of the Andalusian Wall, which encircles the Medina for over 5 km on three sides.

During the tour, you will stop at the Rabbi Shalom Zaoui synagogue, named after a 19th-century rabbi known for his ability to cure the sick. The current building was once the rabbi’s home. At its peak, the Mellah of Rabat boasted over a dozen synagogues. Continue on and visit the Hassan Tower, Rabat’s iconic landmark, is the half-finished minaret of a planned mosque whose remnants attest to its ambitions. Drive by the Royal Palace, the residence of the current reigning king Mohamed VI, and see the luxury of this sprawling palace.

After lunch continue on to Fes stopping along the way at Meknes where you will visit the old and new Mellah where around 100 Jewish people still live. Visit the Jewish cemetery and tombs and Haim Messas, David Boussidan and Raphael Berdugo.

As you arrive in Fes, you’ll be greeted by the vibrant hues and sounds of this historic city, where narrow winding streets beckon with the promise of adventure. Settle into a charming traditional riad, a hidden gem adorned with intricate tile work and lush courtyards that exude warmth and hospitality. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure with your guide and driver at leisure.

Day 03 Fes

This morning, after breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the historic sites of Fes. Begin by walking down Talaa Kebira, the main thoroughfare of Fes el Bali, to the Medersa Bou Inania. This Medersa, which served as both a seminary and a dormitory, is a splendid example of Moroccan architecture featuring its three core elements: intricate tile mosaics, carved plaster, and painted cedar.

As you stroll, pass by the Blue Gate and the Shrine of Moulay Idriss. Take a moment to peek through the many entrances of the massive Al Quaraouiyine Mosque. Discover the small shops of local artisans, including weavers and carpenters.

Next, visit the University of al Quaraouiyine—also spelled Al Quaraouiyine or Al-Karaouine. According to UNESCO and the Guinness World Records, it is the oldest existing, continually operating educational institution in the world and is recognized as the first degree-awarding educational institution.

Continue on to the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts. This beautifully restored fondouq (a former caravanserai for traveling merchants) features a central courtyard with rooms displaying traditional artifacts, including craftsmen's tools, prayer beads, Berber locks, chests, and musical instruments, all beautifully presented.

After lunch, visit the Al-Attarine Madrasa, located near al Quaraouiyine. Built by the Marinid Sultan Uthman II Abu Said (r. 1310-1331) between 1323 and 1325, this madrasa is named after the nearby Souk al-Attarine, the spice and perfume market.

Next, learn about the Moroccan leather industry by visiting the Chouara Tannery. As one of the three tanneries in Fez and the largest in the city, Chouara has been in operation since the 11th century. It is located in Fes el Bali, the oldest medina quarter. The tanning process has remained largely unchanged for centuries. To get the best view, head to the balconies of one of the nearby shops, where you will be welcomed with a sprig of mint.

Visit the Ibn Danan Synagogue, an exquisite example of Sephardic architecture, with its beautifully preserved interior and serene atmosphere. Take a moment to appreciate the delicate craftsmanship of the wooden ceiling and the ancient artifacts that tell stories of the Jewish community’s resilience and devotion throughout the centuries.

Next, make your way to the Tomb of Solica, a site of great significance where the revered figure is said to rest. The tomb radiates a sense of peace, surrounded by the fragrance of blooming flowers and the soft murmur of prayers, offering insight into the spirituality that permeates this historic site.

Conclude your visit at the Jewish cemetery, a poignant reminder of the past. The weathered tombstones are a testament to the generations that once thrived in this community, and walking among them provides a reflective moment to honour their memories. The cemetery, with its tranquil atmosphere, allows you to connect with the rich history and cultural heritage that has shaped Fes into the remarkable city it is today.

Day 04 Fes - Marrakech

This morning after breakfast set off the what is known as the Red City, Marrakech. Taking the scenic route, you will pass through many small Berber villages giving you taste of the traditional local life. Stop for in Beni Mellal for a spot of lunch.

After lunch continue on your way to Marrakech. Get settled in to your hotel and prepare to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing sights, sounds, and flavours that await you for tomorrow’s adventure. Evening at your leisure. Dinner will be at your hotel.

Day 05 Marrakech

This morning after breakfast at your hotel enjoy a full guided Tour of Marrakech. Visit the Koutoubia Minaret which dominates the skyline of Marrakech. The 12th-Century monument is a classic example of Moorish architecture.

Then, head to the Mellah – Jewish quarter of Marrakesh. Share, understand and appreciate the potential of the coexistence of the two religions and cultures. In Morocco, Jews and Muslims have coexisted in harmony for hundreds of years. Marrakesh, at the foot of the Atlas Mountain range was home to more than 50,000 Jews, according to a 1947 census.

Visit the Jewish Cemetery & the historic Synagogue of Marrakech. After lunch visit Majorelle Jardins. Dive into the captivating beauty of this lush paradise, crafted by the visionary French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1924 and unveiled to the public in 1947. Feel the thrill as you wander along vibrant pathways, surrounded by exotic plants and mesmerizing blue hues. Embrace the magic of the day as every corner reveals a new adventure waiting to be discovered! Head back to the hotel and enjoy your evening at leisure with your guide and driver at disposal.

The famous Djemâa el Fna square, the pulsating heart of Marrakech. As you make your way to the square, take in the architectural beauty of the surrounding medina, with its intricate tilework and bustling narrow streets.

As the sun sets, the square transforms into a lively culinary hub, with dozens of small restaurants and food stalls serving traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine, couscous, and grilled meats, inviting you to indulge your taste buds. As night falls, the square becomes a stage for a captivating array of performances.

You’ll find talented fire eaters showcasing their daring skills, mime artists depicting humorous tales, and mesmerizing snake charmers weaving their magic. Street musicians fill the air with lively tunes, creating an energetic atmosphere that invites you to dance and celebrate the vibrant culture of Marrakech. As you stroll through the square, take the time to interact with the performers, sample delectable foods, and soak in the unique charm of this magical place where every corner holds a new surprise. Day 06 Marrakech

After breakfast today, you will immerse yourself in the traditions of Jewish Moroccan cuisine. The private cooking class offers a unique opportunity to savour rich flavours.

The classes will be taught by our highly experienced Dadas, known as the Guardians of Moroccan Cuisine. They are well-versed in the customs of Jewish Moroccan cooking and possess the secrets of Moroccan gastronomy.

The class will take place in a fully equipped kitchen located in a secret garden residence. You will be warmly welcomed with dates and milk infused with orange blossom water.

Under the guidance of an experienced chef, you will learn how to prepare and cook a skhina (a traditional dish) or fish tagine, as well as Moufleta, a Moroccan bread traditionally served at the end of Passover with Amlou, a delicious paste made from roasted almonds, honey, and argan oil.

Day 07 Marrakech

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, your guide and driver will escort you to a talented designer’s studio. There, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history and intricate art of Jewish Moroccan clothing and jewellery. As you explore the vibrant colours, unique fabrics, and exquisite craftsmanship, the designer will share fascinating stories and cultural significance behind each piece. This experience promises to be both educational and inspiring, giving you a deeper appreciation for the beautiful traditions of Jewish Moroccan heritage.

After lunch head back to your hotel to relax before tonight’s adventure to the Rocky Desert for dinner.

You will arrive before sunset and enjoy a camel ride followed by a traditional Moroccan dinner and entertainment of fire eaters, Gwana Musicians and belly dancers under the stars.

Day 08 Marrakech - Essaouira

After the morning at your leisure, you will leave behind the hustle & bustle of Marrakech after lunch and head to Essaouira, situated on the Atlantic coast. Known for its breezy charm, this stunning port city on Morocco’s Atlantic coast is a treasure waiting to be explored.

As we stroll through the vibrant medina, surrounded by the 18th-century seafront ramparts of the Skala de la Kasbah, we’ll be enchanted by the rich history and breathtaking ocean views. Picture old brass cannons standing proud along the walls, whispering tales of the past.

The strong "Alizée" trade winds transform Essaouira’s beautiful crescent beach into a playground for water sports enthusiasts! Whether it’s surfing, windsurfing, or kitesurfing, there’s a thrill in the air that’s hard to resist. Let’s embrace the joyful spirit of this coastal gem.

Day 09 Essaouira

Today, enjoy a guided tour of Essaouira. As you wander through this vibrant town, you will hear tales of the Portuguese who fortified Essaouira in the 16th century, giving it the name Mogador. You will also be amazed to learn about the stunning fortress built in 1506 by Portuguese King Manuel, which still stands as a testament to the town's rich history.

There are many Jewish sites of interest in Essaouira that you will visit, including the Simon Attias Synagogue (Bayt Dakira), the Slat Lkahal Synagogue, the Rabbi Chaim Pinto Synagogue, and the Jewish Cemetery. Don't miss visiting The Mellah as well.

After lunch explore the street of the thuya woodworkers, the ocean-side ramparts, and the numerous art galleries scattered throughout the town. Once a Portuguese outpost, Essaouira has transformed into a vibrant art community, hosting notable visitors like Jimi Hendrix and Cat Stevens. It has also served as a filming location for several episodes of “Game of Thrones.”

Day 10 Essaouira - Casablanca

After breakfast, set out from the coastal town of Essaouira and journey towards the vibrant city of Casablanca. As you travel along the scenic coastline, take in the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the charming landscape that defines this region.

Upon your arrival in Casablanca, prepare for an enriching experience with a guided tour. Begin at the historic Temple Beth-El, a testament to the city's rich Jewish heritage, where you can marvel at its stunning architecture and learn about its significance.

Next, explore the Jewish Mellah, a fascinating neighbourhood that reflects the unique cultural blend of Morocco's Jewish community. As you stroll through its narrow streets, you'll discover a variety of shops and local delicacies that give insight into everyday life.

Continue your journey at the Museum of Moroccan Judaism, where you can delve into the history and contributions of Jewish communities in Morocco. The exhibits provide a rich narrative that highlights the cultural intertwining of the two faiths.

Finally, pay your respects at Casablanca's Jewish Cemetery, a serene place that honours the memory of those who have passed. As you walk among the gravestones, take a moment to reflect on the stories and lives of the individuals laid to rest here.

This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Le Petit Rocher Restaurant. Its amazing location allows you to gaze at the sublime Atlantic waves and the Hassan II Mosque. Sample delicious Mediterranean cuisine, fresh seafood, and fine wine!

Day 11 Casablanca - Airport

On your departure day, you'll be whisked away to the airport, with a more detailed knowledge and understanding between 2 religions and 2 cultures to share.
